About Wallace

Mike Wallace began his journey into knife-making as a teenager, crafting custom knives with a passion for precision and innovation. His skills eventually led him to Cold Steel, where he spent 14 years as a prototype maker. During this time, his designs became production models that garnered widespread acclaim. Among his most notable creations are the Colossus, Immortal, Storm Cloud, Bushranger, and Luzon series, celebrated for their durability, functionality, and cutting-edge aesthetics.

After Cold Steel was sold, Mike transitioned to working with Andrew Demko at Demko Knives, where he focused on refining production techniques and collaborating on innovative designs. This partnership allowed him to further hone his skills and push the boundaries of knife-making. Today, as a designer for APOC Survival Tools, Mike applies his renowned practical, sensible, and functional approach to crafting knives that meet the rigorous demands of enthusiasts and professionals alike.

“The reason is simple that I chose to work with CAS on APOC Survival Tools because they are outstanding people,” he says. “CAS has taken great pride in making sure that my designs are made to specs and have my approval. I couldn’t be more pleased with the finished product.” With decades of experience, Mike Wallace continues to inspire the knife-making industry with his dedication to craftsmanship and innovation.

We at CAS are excited to be working with Wallace, and look forward to his designs being tested and implemented in the field.
