The "Hammer of Lucerne", so named for the discovery of many of these 15th century weapons in Lucerne, Switzerland, has an eight-spiked head, ostensibly for puncturing plate armour.  When mounted on a typical seven foot pole it was also effective in pulling riders from their horses. Long langets provided a secure mounting and protected the shaft from sword blows. Supplied as a head only, the length (including langets) is 35".
