Classic Samurai Wakizashi

Matching the Paul Chen SH1018 Golden Oriole Katana, the Golden Oriole Wakizashi features a deeply lacquered blue saya, Japanese cotton tsuka-ito, and the Oriole appears on both the tsuka and again on the koshirae. The blade from the Hanwei factory is hand-forged in high-carbon steel and is differentially hardened to display a distinct hamon. Edge hardness is HRC 58~62, back hardness HRC 38~42. Supplied with a protective cloth bag and traditional maintenance kit.

Collect the set; a samurai wore two swords, the matching Katana is also available to complete your collection.

Please note: the katana, wakizashi or tanto’s sageo (cord) on the saya (scabbard) may not be wrapped as pictured. Sageo color may vary.
