For those wishing to build a custom Samurai sword on a CAS Hanwei blade, we offer three bare blades in shirasaya. All are forged and differentially hardened in the same traditional fashion as the “forged” and “forged & folded” line of swords. The SH1230 folded steel blade is that used on the Tiger Katana but is ungrooved to facilitate its use in building a cutting sword.
